Hate monitor, 2025: Cumulative overview of bias-motivated incidents recorded in 2025
Throughout 2025, the Mission observed a persistent pattern of bias-motivated incidents across BiH, generally targeting constituent peoples but also directed at other minority communities. While overall numbers do not indicate a dramatic increase in reported incidents compared to the previous year, the nature and gravity of incidents remains concerning due to their character, public visibility, and potential to undermine already fragile inter-communal and institutional trust. These figures also reflect only part of the real situation, as bias-motivated incidents continue to be significantly underreported.
