OSCE congratulates new Reisul-Ulema

SARAJEVO, 12 October 2026 - The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mission) extends its sincere congratulations to the newly elected Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nedžad ef. Grabus, and wishes him success in carrying out his important responsibilities. The Mission also expresses its sincere appreciation to the outgoing Reisul-Ulema, Husein ef. Kavazović, for his many years of dedicated service and leadership, and for his contributions toward supporting and strengthening interreligious dialogue, mutual understanding and trust among communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Mission looks forward to continuing its close and constructive co-operation with the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina in promoting respect for the rights and dignity of all people in the country.
