OSCE Head reaffirms commitment to inclusive governance and rule of law in Brčko and Posavina

Brčko/Orašje, 10 March 2026 - Ambassador Rick Holtzapple, Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mission), conducted a two-day visit to Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Posavina Canton, reaffirming the Mission’s commitment to inclusive governance, the rule of law and community development in BiH.

In Brčko District, Ambassador Holtzapple joined officials and citizens to mark the 26th anniversary of its establishment, highlighting how the District serves as a positive model of multi-ethnic governance, strong democratic institutions and co-operation.

In Posavina Canton, Ambassador Holtzapple and Prime Minister Đuro Topić spoke about ways to advance anti-corruption measures, good governance and gender equality, emphasizing the importance of establishing a fully operational and independent Anti-Corruption Office.

These engagements highlight the Mission’s ongoing commitment to work in partnership with local institutions and communities to build a safer, more inclusive and democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina.
